Be My Baby by The Ronettes and Don’t Worry Baby by The Beach Boys, were the inspiration for my new song It’s Been Too Long. Here, I use iconic Phil Spector instrumentation and Brian Wilson’s signature lush background vocals to create a 60’s style throwback number reminiscent of Ronnie Spector’s Say Goodbye To Hollywood. Critically, finding the right person to sing the song was our biggest challenge. I was beyond thrilled when Jennifer Lee (Michael Stanley, Raspberries) was contacted by Jim Bonfanti (Raspberries) and agreed to sing the song. Jen and Jim bring experience and credibility to the table along with wealth of knowledge and impeccable chops! Together with a killer mix by Tommy Allen, we are able to deliver this snapshot of past radio hits that will take you back to innocent days and long lost radio plays.
